Reviews
One of my favorite bars around! Great live music, good food, and all around perfect atmosphere. The owner and staff treat everyone amazing! Especially us regulars!
First time visitor. I read the reviews before I arrived; and, I’m not sure what some of the issues and negative feed back are based on, because I enjoyed this establishment. The two bartenders were friendly; the gentleman at the door was friendly; the kitchen staff was friendly; and, most of the customers (over-95%) were friendly. I would go back again if I find myself in Greenville SC.
The staff behind the bar are rude. The blonde bartender snatched my friend's debit card out of her hand. We have been here several times thinking it would get better but honestly just worse. We went to an event last night and she had placed a curtain separating half the bar and eliminated seating. There wasn't even space to put our food and drinks on to eat the over cooked chicken wings. The fries were good. There's a positive. Drinks are overpriced and weak. Last time I will give this place a chance. Patrons will not continue to spend money or time here when the bartenders act the way these do.
The owner’s policy is to deny giving a cup of water, no exceptions. We purchased food and multiple drinks, so it’s not like we were freeloaders where refusing water might make sense. The bartender made it clear it was just policy and was very nice, I don’t blame them at all. All I can say is you reap what you sow, no wonder the bar was dead.
Kind people and helpful servers! Away Team played and they were great! Me and a friend went, no one bothered us, and we were able to talk and have a great time.
I've come here twice with my service animal and been told since he's an "aggressive breed," that be cannot come in with me. He does not have his vest yet, but I do have his certificate. They still didn't accept him because of his breed. I'll never come back, NOT ESA FRIENDLY.
My wife and I are in our 60’s and there was less than 4 people at the bar. The waitress says “I need to scan your licenses to verify your age”. Well guess what? I have white hair and wrinkles - plus I told her that in this state all a person needs to do is verify their age is over 21 - NOT scan my personal data into some computer. I refused to allow her to scan my personal data when a simple look would be fine (plus we are old enough to be her grandparents!)
Another couple comes in - does she scan them? Nope she looks at the license. No scan
Another couple - obviously over 60 also. Does she scan both of them? NOPE! She looks. Then the guy asks her - why didn’t you scan mine? She says “I have to verify the expiration date and when it’s busy I sometimes forget” ( keep in mind that there are less than 10 people at the bar now). So he says - can’t you do that by looking at my card? It’s printed on there? She replies - “it’s policy”
So if you as a business owner can show me state law that authorizes you to scan my personal data without my consent to legally purchase alcohol in this state - I will apologize. But state law does NOT allow you to, it only states you must insure I am 21 and older. That a violation of my personal rights and personal identifiable information (PII). And with me being with white hair, wrinkled and obviously old enough to be your grandparent - then you should consider just “carding” me and not scanning my data into your computer.
Plus, you ruined our perfectly good evening with your non sense, so I do not recommend this place to anyone that wants their rights violated and treated unfairly with other patrons getting a “card check only”.
Scan and verify kids under 30 if you want - scan and look at the license. But folks obviously over 45 - seriously?? Really? 65 years old - come on!
The snacks were good though.
First time there and loved it. Piedmont boys were very talented musicians. There bass, drummer, fiddler player guitarist and vocals were all on point and sound awsome!!!
